Maligne Pass

A historic route less-traveled in recent days, Maligne Pass is an incredibly scenic area that is not too far from the road.  The Avalanche Campground south of the pass is a good base for exploring the area and can be comfortably reached in a day of hiking from the road.  A trip to Maligne Pass is recommended as a three day trip (with a full day in the middle for exploring the upper reached of the pass).

The open meadows around Maligne Pass are a great place to see wildflowers and wildlife.

The Avalanche Campground, shown here, is only a short walk from great scenery.

Camping gear including tents, and sleeping pads can be provided (please inquire when making your booking).
